Splash Park Fun

Today, Jonah & I had our first Splash Park experience with our good friends Kim & Weston. Jonah was fascinated by the water, and I can't wait to take him again. Who's with me? :)

I Love Aunt Melissa

Mondays have become over the last 4+ months or so, "Aunt Mel Days". Jonah & I have so much fun spending the day with my sister. Jonah has a "Who Loves Baby?" book, and when he sees Melissa's picture, he kisses it. So sweet!

Success!!!

Jonah crawled today!!!! It was so exciting to see him figure it out! He is still a little wobbly, but he made it 3-4 paces to get to his favorite blocks. Then, later today, he watched his friends crawl through the "house" and decided he would too.

Father's Day Weekend

1st Father's Day

This is my 1st Father's Day without my Dad, and it has been a tough weekend remembering him. It, however, has also been a joyous weekend celebrating Pete's 1st Father's Day. He is such an awesome dad to Jonah, and I could not feel more blessed. Pics from the weekend to come!

"DaDaDaDa"

Jonah's favorite word is "Dada". It is so cute to hear him talk all of the time, and I know *one* day I will hear the sweet sound of "mama" too. :)

8 Months

Time is just flying by! Jonah is now 8 months old. From previous posts I've shared that he has become MUCH more mobile this month - rolling, scooting, and almost crawling all over the house. He has also become increasingly interested in pulling himself from a sitting position to his knees and even his feet with a bit of help from mommy or daddy. He is also talking all the time, with his favorite word for everything being "Dada" (much to Pete's delight!). We had a lot of fun this month with playdates, celebrating Mother's Day, and family visits. Looking forward to what this next month brings!

So Close

For the past few weeks, Jonah has been working really hard at getting the mechanics of crawling. He has certainly become very mobile using his hands to scoot himself around when sitting. On his tummy, he pushes off with his arms, but until today, did not get his knees up. His end result was moving backwards, which is *not* where he wanted to go! Today, I captured the 1st shots of him on all fours, rocking back and forth. He's almost got it! Watch out, Lily! He's going to come for you first!

Jonah Yells

I know that I have shared Jonah's "yelling" escapades over the last few months with many friends and family. They are usually not angry yells, but how LOUD can I get, yells. It's really funny, even when I am trying to shop at Kroger other shoppers are laughing too. Here is a short video clip where I captured some of these "yells".
