Lunch with Aunt Mel & Marco
Jonah & I had a fun lunch with my sister & her boyfriend last Sunday. Jonah was in a very silly mood and kept us entertained the entire meal. He was very talkative and also demonstrative making observations about the waitstaff. He always keeps me laughing. :)

1st Haircut
While Pete was out of town this weekend, I decided to take Jonah to get his FIRST haircut! Up until now, I have just been trimming it myself, but it was time to let a professional do it. Unfortunately, Jonah disagreed. He was not very cooperative (even though he had a lollipop and an Elmo DVD playing). The lady did the best she could, but even in my lap he kept squirming. It still turned out cute though, and now I can spike it for fun too.

18 Month Stats
Jonah turned 18 months on April 5th - I just can't believe how time flies! He is getting more and more independent each day (or "strong-willed" as his doctor said). :) Jonah loves to talk and sing - he currently says 40+ words and is learning more everyday. His favorite song to sing is "Row, Row, Row Your Boat", although he really just likes the "row, row, row" part the best.
At his 18 month well visit yesterday, he stayed in the same growth percentiles that he had at his year visit, so he is right on track!
Weight: 24lbs, 9oz (30%)
Height: 32.5" (50%)
Head: 19" (60%)
The doctor was very pleased with his physical & verbal development, placing him closer to a 2 year old with his skill level. She did recommend cutting back his milk intake so that hopefully he will start eating better at home & school. She also suggested I buy James Dobson's "The Strong Willed Child" as she noticed he has a determined mind of his own. This book is a classic, and I know my dad had this on his bookshelf from my early days. :) We love Jonah's personality!

I know there are more....he is a chatterbox these days!
Jonah can point to all his body parts and tell you what they are when asked. I have a cute video of this that I will post soon. He's so proud! He can also point out all the animals in his books when asked, and makes some of the sounds they make.

California Friends Visit
A few weeks ago, Jonah & I spent an awesome day with Cori & Brady at the Children's Museum at Fair Park. If I lived closer, I would take Jonah there all the time. He absolutely had a blast exploring and playing with everything. It was also wonderful for me to meet Baby Brady for the 1st time and catch up with one of my best friends since 7th grade.
