Jonah Hugs Lily

Pete captured a sweet video this weekend of Jonah giving Lily hugs. Unfortunately, I am in it trying to get out of the way, but just focus on them.:) He put it to music, "The Prettiest Girl in the Room" (referring to Lily). Enjoy!

Good Morning

Jonah and I have stayed very busy the past few weeks while Pete has started his new job. We were both very sad he was not spending his days with us anymore, so we went to lots of playdates and on many walks. Unfortunately, I have been bad about taking pictures. Here is a sweet one from this morning though. He was so happy to have his milk! :) I don't know if you can see it, but he has a huge cowlick on the top of his head that is so cute. I think it might be time for his first haircut pretty soon.

Dinosaurs!

It was such a pretty day today that Pete & I decided to take Jonah to the Heard Wildlife Sanctuary here in McKinney for a nature walk and to see the Dinosaurs exhibit. Along the trail, we encountered all different kinds of dinosaurs that moved and roared - one even spit! Jonah thought it was very cool and even wanted to kiss some of them. They also had a mini zoo set up with different animals - Jonah especially enjoyed the lemurs and the wallabies. It was a great visit!

Jonah's New Car

Grandma Jackie bought Jonah a new car for Christmas, and Jonah helped Daddy put it together last Saturday. It is so cute! It has a handle that can attach to the front or back for walks, and when he is older, the floorboard comes out so Jonah can move the car Flinstone-style on his own. My mom came over that afternoon, and we went to the park to let Jonah check out his new car. He loves it! Plus, about 4 other little boys at the playground were very interested and one even took a ride. Thank you, Grandma!

10 Year High School Reunion

Last Saturday was my 10 Year High School Reunion. Pete weaseled his way out of going because it was his brother's last night in town. A fellow alum's parents moved to McKinney (Santos), so he rode with me down to Smokey John's. There was a fairly good attendance (I took pictures with nearly everyone there!). It was GREAT to see everyone again - everyone looked fantastic and genuinely seemed happy to catch up with each other. I truly loved high school, and it was fun to reminisce for a night.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

The day after Christmas, my sweet mom turned 55! Hello, senior discounts! haha. She is so beautiful and doesn't look even close to her age. Melissa, Jonah, & I took her for lunch. Jonah especially enjoyed trying to eat with chopsticks.

A Mac Christmas

We also had a wonderful Christmas celebrating with Pete's family in Duncanville (we decided to stay for 3 days rather than drive back and forth). Jonah had so much fun playing with his uncles & aunt! He slept great each night after spending his days running around the house & his grandparents HUGE yard.

Lunch with FBA Friends

Maegen came into town for Christmas, and I finally got to meet Madeline! She is so adorable and has the cutest cheeks you've ever seen! Erin, Christi, and Heather also met at Maegen's dad's house and we all went to lunch. I love that we are all still close. :)

Christmas with my Sisters (and Mom & Gigi)

Christi (my older sister) & her family graciously hosted Christmas at their house this year the Monday before Christmas. Jonah had such a great time exploring her house, watching his cousin Preston play the Wii, admiring the tree, and getting to stay up late. We had a delicious dinner and really enjoyed spending time together as a family.

ALL the pics! They really aren't that many great ones - Jonah moves too fast!

Welcome, Brady Matthew!

One of my BFFs (hehe - I am so cool & hip) had her BEAUTIFUL baby boy on December 18. Congratulations, Cori - I can't wait to meet him! For more pictures, see Maegen's blog - she was there with Cori and witnessed the birth!
