Arboretum

Jonah & I went to the Arboretum today with my sister & grandmother (Gigi). He had so much fun playing in the hay, petting & brushing all the animals (he also wanted to kiss them), and listening/ dancing to the Kindermusik. It was a gorgeous, cool fall day.

Pumpkin Patch X 2

On Tuesday, Jonah & I went with our friends Kim & Weston to the Pumpkin Patch in Frisco. The boys had fun riding a hay ride, playing in the patch, going through the hay maze (Jonah figured it out all by himself!), and playing some games.

Monday Fun

This morning, Jonah & went to a Halloween playdate at our friend's Shannon & Grace's house. The kids looked so cute in their costumes. After lunch, Jonah, Lily, & I went to the park since it was such a sunny day.

October Babies B-day Party

Each month, my awesome mom's group plans a b-day party for all the kiddos born in that month. Last week, we celebrated the October babies' b-days with a cupcake party at the mall. The kids had fun eating their cupcakes, riding on the carousel, and then playing together in the play area.

Fuentes Wedding

My friend from high school, Heather, got married this weekend in a beautiful ceremony downtown. She looked absolutely gorgeous! We are so happy for her and her new husband, Robert. The wedding was a lot of fun, and it was great to see everyone!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PETE!!!

Today is Pete's 31st birthday! Last year, his 30th birthday came and went without much fanfare since Jonah was less than 2 weeks old. This year, we celebrated with his family yesterday. This weekend, we will have our first overnight date to celebrate! I love you, and am so thankful you are my husband, best friend, and Daddy to Jonah!

Tiny Tots Music Class

Every Wednesday morning, Jonah & I go to Tiny Tots music class. It is so much fun - we sing songs & play instruments. The teacher makes it very enjoyable for the kids, and Jonah gets more and more into it each week. He never wants to give back the instruments! He is also so jazzed from class that he has a hard time taking his nap when we get home. I think he just might have the gift of music like his daddy!

Fair Day

Pete took a vacation day today, and we decided to take Jonah to the fair. I LOVE the fair - it brings back so many wonderful memories with my parents and sister. The food, the midway, the rides... so fun! I don't think we ever left the fair with an empty stomach or empty hands (which were filled with stuffed animals my dad won for us). I look forward to sharing the fair with Jonah each year, and I think he will enjoy it more and more. His favorite parts were looking at the horses, the dog show, looking at cars, and eating new foods I think! I wish I had gotten more pictures, but we were to busy eating and trying to wheel through crowds.

Welcome, Baby Madeline!

Last Sunday, one of my best friends gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Madeline. She had an all-natural, home birth! I am so amazed and proud of her. Love you, Maegen - you are going to be an awesome Mommy! And Jonah is ok with sharing his birthday. :)

Touchdown!

Last Sunday, Pete & taught Jonah "touchdown". He is doing it in the picture on the previous post and this one. He likes to do it all the time! Of course, we are getting ready for the big game today. Hook 'em!

One Year Check Up

Yesterday, Jonah & went to the doctor for his 1 year well visit. He was such a champ getting his shots! He weighs 21 lbs, 4 oz (30% for weight), and was 29.75" tall (55% for height). He is on track verbally, and ahead from a physical standpoint.

Also, Jonah is getting his first tooth! It is on the bottom in the middle. Melissa & I saw it breaking through on Monday. Yay! The doctor also said his 2 top middle teeth are *so* close.

****UPDATE**** - a top tooth has broken through. Oh boy. Maybe this was why he was so cranky today!

Pumpkin Patch

On Jonah's birthday, Pete & I took Jonah to the Pumpkin Patch for a fun family day. Jonah enjoyed riding around in his new Radio Flyer wagon (thanks, Macs!, feeding the animals, and running around the pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful day, and a great memory for Jonah's 1st birthday.

October 5 - the day of Jonah's birth. It has been the most amazing year watching him grow and become such an awesome little boy. Our lives are so blessed and forever changed. We love you, Jonah, and can't wait to see what this next year brings!

Birthday Party

Jonah had such a wonderful birthday party celebrating with family and friends. Thank you to everyone for coming and for all the great gifts! Although Jonah seemed more interested in the wrapping paper, tissue, & bows, he wanted to play with all his new toys and did not want to sleep tonight! As you can see from the pictures, he was also cautious with his cake at first, but soon discovered the joy of smashing it! :)
