Children's Museum

Jonah & I enjoyed visiting the Children's Museum this week with some of my best friends from high school (actually junior high through today!), Cori & her baby Brady & Erin & her little girl Ryann. The kids had a lot of fun together, and it was so fun for me to catch up with friends I do not see as often as I would like. Melissa came too and was so sweet to help watch Jonah as he ran around so that I could catch up with the girls. Plus, Jonah had been asking for her all morning, and she can't resist him. :)

Weekend o' Grandparents

Jonah is blessed with wonderful grandparents, and he had a very special weekend spending time with them! Gigi Betty & Aunt Joanie, "Jickie", and Papa & Grandma Lynn all came to visit. He loves spending time with each & every one of his grandparents!

Splash Park in Frisco & Mel & Co

A few Sundays ago, Jonah & I had a fun time at the splash park in Frisco with our friends Kim & Weston. Jonah had a blast running through the water even when it was time to go! He did have a fall though which caused quite the scrape on his poor little nose. It is still very red 2 weeks later, but nothing slows him down.

After naptime, Jonah's day of fun continued with a visit from his Aunt Mel and "Co" (Marco). They had a blast playing hide n seek and chase with his car.

4th of July Weekend(s)

The Macs had a very busy and fun 4th of July weekend(s) this year. We started early and celebrated in Allen with friends from my playgroup as well as the Keoughs the weekend before. It was Jonah's latest night to stay up by far, but he did great! He especially loved playing with Charleigh and asked about her all week.

We started off the next weekend on Friday with a fun breakfast playdate with Jonah's buddy Trenton. His mom, Leslie, & I have been friends since the boys were just a few months old, and it is so neat to watch them grown up together! Since I have been back to work, we don't get as many opportunities to spend time with the Beans, so it was a special treat to spend the morning together!

On Friday afternoon, we went to the annual Stark family BBQ. This was Jonah's first time in a big pool since last summer, and of course, he had a blast!

Saturday morning, Jonah & I left early, picked up my sister Melissa, and drove to Austin for a visit with my Uncle Mike, Uncle John, Grandma Bess, and Mom. My Uncle Mike has an amazing backyard and pool that Jonah enjoyed very much. He also loved feeding the Bichons and taking rides in my grandma's walker. We went and watched the fireworks in downtown Austin. This is where the trip took a little bit of a turn as my car overheated on the way back to my uncle's. We took it to a shop first thing Sunday and discovered it needed about $1K worth of repairs. YIKES! Melissa was so gracious and offered to stay in Austin until Monday when it would be finished and allowed Jonah & I to ride home with my mom. It was a loooong 6 hours in traffic home, but we made it! I do not think I will ever take a long road trip with Jonah again without a DVD player! My mom is a trooper. Jonah & I had a fun stay at home together on Monday, so all was not lost! Jonah is still talking about all his family in Austin, especially "Miiiiiiiike". He asks everyday "Where, Miiiiike"? I tell him he is in Austin, but we will visit again soon!

Jonah's LOVES B-day Parties

A few Saturdays ago, Jonah was invited to 2 birthday parties - his buddies Weston (3) and Addison (2). I am not sure how he knew this, but on the way to Weston's party, I asked him if he was excited about going to the party. He replied, "Yes. Cake! Cake! Cake!". It must have been on an Elmo! The 1st party was at a splash park which is Jonah's all time favorite activity. All the parents were commenting how active and brave he was. I even heard one mom say, "He sure must keep his Mom busy". Yes, yes he does. :)
He then ate cake at the picnic table with the other kids like such a big boy. He was so proud! On the way home, I caught this picture which just shows what a great time he had.

The next party was also a blast with tons of new toys for Jonah to experience including a ball pit, sand box, and motorized car. He loved them all! And he got to eat cake AGAIN! What an awesome day!

New Play House

A few weeks ago we bought Jonah a new playhouse for the backyard, and he LOVES it! It's a pretty fun one where each side has something different - slide, picnic table, ring/ball toss, door & window. He really enjoys playing with his house along with his water table and carrying water back and forth between the two. Or making me sit inside the house while he brings water to dump on me! Now he likes to run to the back door and say "Houf"? Which means house in Jonah speak.

Water Table Fun

Jonah loves the water as you can see in this video. I saw an ad for a water table on sale at Target, and I told Pete I wanted it for Jonah. Not 5 minutes later, my mom calls and says she is at Target buying him that very water table! Eerie how moms & daughters can be on the same wavelength like that!

Memorial Day

The Macaluso family had a fun BBQ on Memorial Day. Pete's brother Jeff was in town whom we had not seen since Christmas. Jonah had so much fun with him and called him "Joff". He also liked to build blocks with his Aunt Rachel & steal her dessert. My mom bought him a water table, and he had an absolute blast playing with it! I will post the video next.

Drive-In Elmo

Last weekend, I pulled out Jonah's car that Grandma "Jickie" bought him for Christmas. He was so excited and played with his "ca" for HOURS. He especially enjoyed watching Elmo as he sat in his car like our living room was his personal drive-in theater.

Jonah & his Lion

Jonah loves his lion bath towel - he has been treating it like his blanket the last few weeks and insisting he take it everywhere. He wants to play with it and sleep with it too!
